چکیده
Transient luminous events (TLEs) are electrical discharges in the upper atmosphere caused by vigorous thunderstorms. Six sprites, which part of TLEs, were observed on 22 July 2013 from Mt. Fuji (3776 m above sea level), Japan. All six sprites associated with intense positive cloud-to-ground strikes (+CGs), whose causative charges can reside stratiform region. Consequently, we assumed that main could generate an situ charging mechanism, accompanied precipitation growth extensive Thus, supposed there be a relationship between time sequence surface intensity and sprite emissions. In this study, conclude sequences horizontal evolution Mesoscale Convective Systems (MCSs) sprites. As result, prior to 1–5, areal amount strong (≥8 mm/h) increased considerably, only small increase occurred during 6. Analyzing percentage weak respect total precipitation, it was found 1–6 within 20 min after local peaks compared precipitation. particular, 2–5 very close peaks. The rise first peak rate 80 min, while last 6 30 min. temporal differences until suggest speeds, or mechanisms, related differ 1–5 parent MCSs.

In Iran the issue of occurring natural disasters, particularly mesoscale convective systems. They are important on one hand, because of their increasing intimidations and causing damages and on the other hand, because of their increasing abundance, time of duration, and happening. Therefore life cycle, constituton condition and mesoscale convective systems features in west of Iran using satelli...
متن کاملspatial modeling of summer precipitation in North-west of Iran
In the present study, the main aim was the spatial evaluation summer rainfall of northwest of Iran based on30 stations in northwest of Iran during 30 years of statistical period (1985-2014). An attempt, using geo-statistical modeling by ordinary least squares (OLS) and geographically weighted regression (GWR) procedures, was also made. The results represented that the GWR model with higher S2, ...
متن کاملPatterns of Precipitation and Mesolow Evolution in Midlatitude Mesoscale Convective Vortices
Surface pressure manifestations of mesoscale convective vortices (MCVs) that traversed Oklahoma during the periods May–August 2002–05 are studied using the Weather Surveillance Radar-1988 Doppler (WSR88D), the Oklahoma Mesonet, and the NOAA Profiler Network data. Forty-five MCVs that developed from mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) have been investigated, 28 (62%) of which exhibit mesolows de...
متن کاملAnalysis of updraft velocity in mesoscale convective systems using satellite and WRF model simulations
Updraft vertical velocity is an important dynamical quantity which is strongly related to storm intensity and heavy precipitation. It can be calculated by direct observations, NWP model, and geostationary satellites which can provide the possibility of measuring this quantity with high temporal resolution. This research analyzed updraft velocity based on six derived parameters from INSAT3-D and...
